Hi rallyrahul and pradeepram,
I am from Bangalore, India. I have applied for Queen's Full-Time MBA (Jan 2016 in-take) and my application is almost done with the essays, informal interview and video questions. So far so good. I still have the formal round of interview pending which is scheduled for the end of this month. I would like to know whether formal round is another round of getting to know the candidate and his or her aspirations or whether it is a decider round.
I've been talking to the current students at Queen's and from whatever I hear, Queen's MBA structure seem to be aligned with my post-goals and I am leaning towards Queen's over other b-schools (if I get acceptance that is). Have you guys got the acceptance? What about scholarship and loans? Enlighten me please.
Hi amararchana,
All the best for your interview. I am from Bangalore too and I have been accepted for the Queens Full time MBA program. I had a direct formal interview. I did not have an informal interview before.
The interview was straightforward. It was with a career coach and a member from the admissions team.It was for 30 mins. The questions they asked me was -
Why MBA?
Why Canada?
Post MBA goals?
What qualities should i possess to market myself ?
What is my leadership style
An example of my leadership style
How have i dealt with issues in the team
what i expect to learn from MBA
I asked two questions about the curriculum and internships. If they are really happy with your profile and interview, like how rallyrahul said, they give a scholarship in that range .
The schools program is comprehensive and focuses on team based methodologies. I will be joining there this Jan.
Hope you crack the interview. All the best. Let me know how it went.
