Rate =7/10 *C/6= 7/60 *C
So for full capacity time taken =60/7
Extra time taken to fill the capacity = time for full tank -time for 7/10 capacity = 60/7-6 =18/7

Hence answer is D
Thanks,

70% in 6 minutes, so 30% in 3*6/7 = 18/7 mins.

suppose , capacity = 70 .
So to fill 7/10 of 70 i.e. 49 , it took 6 mints .
Hence to fill 70 it will take = 10*6/7 = 60/7 mints
So additional time = 60/7 - 6 = 18/7

An empty bucket being filled with paint at a constant rate takes 6 minutes to be filled to 7/10 of its capacity. How much more time will it take to fill the bucket to full capacity?

A. 7/18
B. 9/18
C. 2
D. 18/7
E. 18/5

Kudos for a correct solution.

MANHATTAN GMAT OFFICIAL SOLUTION:

Use the RT = W equation to solve for the rate, with t = 6 minutes and w = 7/10:
r(6 minutes) = 7/10
r = 7/60 buckets per minute.

Then, substitute this rate into the equation again, using 3/10 for w (the remaining work to be done):
7/60*t = 3/10;
t = 18/7.

1 litre in 6/7 min
7 litre in 6/7 ×7 = 6 min
Remaining 3 litres in 6/7× 3 = 18/7 min

We can create the proportion:

6/(7/10) = n/(3/10)

60/7 = 10n/3

180 = 70n

180/70 = n

18/7 = n
