Applying in R2 as well.
Just a question - is 3.1 GPA too low for an admit? I have a GMAT of 750 though.
Also how many of those who got in reached out to other alumni/members of clubs etc? Did anyone of you go for campus visits too?
Merry x-mas!
Well my GPA is 3.2, but there isn't a direct correlation between my home uni and UK GPA. Still, 750 GMAT can vouch for you (have 730 and got in on R1). Don't forget though, that some people have already been admitted so the criteria will be more selective on this round (not that you should feel stressed about your scores, I would feel pretty confident with those stats).
I got contacted by my country track out of the blue, but was already in interview process (I think AdCom gave the lists of prospective students a bit too late). Just had drinks with current alumni here in PT, seemed cool guys. I also went to the campus visit (was already going to London by chance) before getting admitted and the one after getting admitted - it was interesting, you get to know some of your potential classmates there and learn a bit more about the program and school.
Congrats on getting in! Yes I am hoping the 750 overrides the lowly GPA. In addition I do have a few other good things in my profile a) sold my startup b) a VERY international life ... so hoping that overrides this negative.
On the LBS application though it asks if you have spoken to other LBS students / visited the LBS campus. I did visit the LBS campus in mid 2015 but didnt attend any event. Was wondering if that is worth putting on the application?
I have spoken to some LBS current and previous students who I am going to put on my profile. Btw, on your campus visit did you get to speak with any faculty as well?
What are you going to be specializing your MBA in?
Cheers
