Thanx dear,
I have a general question as well regarding these av GMAT scores....if a school displays av score of ..say 630...and you get a score of say 670, then can u be rest assured that your candidature is safe as far as GMAT scores are concerned that is without taking into consideration other factors...only G<AT score??

Yes... BUT provided that your GMAT is higher than the average GMAT of your application pool. It can be possible that avg GMAT at HEC is 630 but avg GMAT of Indian applicants applying to HEC is 670. In such case if you have 670 or higher then you can assume that GMAT won't be deal breaker at least; however, the issue is that schools don't release avg GMAT scores of applicants of different nationalities, so there is no way to figure out Avg GMAT of applicants from your country. IMO, best strategy would be, assuming you are from India, to score at least 30-40 points higher than school's Avg GMAT score.

Any updates?
How many of you have already submitted the application?
Anyone with an idea on how long does it take to hear back from HEC after submission of application.

Re: MBA HEC Montreal Class of 2019 (Matriculating 2018) [#permalink]
Hey Guys ! I recently submitted my application this Fri and am waiting for the college to come back with the Application Number that needs to be filled into the LOR before sending.
Any info on how much time do they generally revert back in?
Also, while filling in my application I was not asked to upload my CV nor the Essay anywhere. (There were couple of sections which were inactive and were directed to proceed)
So will I be asked to submit them along with the other supporting documents?

Thirdly, any insights on the Video Essays that will be asked to submit? Any experiences on them?
Would really appreciate the help !

I don't think you will need application id for LOR. Usually it takes 3 working days to re eive HEC id. I got mine next day after submission of application.

You will have 5 days to upload documents. Once all documents are accepted along with LOR you will receive a mail inviting you to submit video response/interview.

Guys,

Once you submit the supporting documents in enligne and your LOR are received too, you are invited for a video interview which is more of video responses. It is held using Kira platform.
Once you get the link you need to check-in for the interview.... you can practice standard questions an unlimited number of times on kira platform. You can proceed with the interview if you feel you are ready to do so.
The questions asked are generic like your hobbies, how you describe yourself, past achievement, memorable events, how you cope up with a demanding situation and so on.... Usually, the question is presented in a form of prerecorded video.... you will have 30 seconds to prepare the response and 1 minute to record actual response.

I do not feel there is any need for special preparation except for compiling your thoughts in that 30 seconds and presenting them in a minute.
