I was working on some other application when Ross opened, and have pretty much everything ready at least half a month ago. After drafting 6 completely different versions of the essays I realized I'm not improving it, just driving myself crazy.

What are our thoughts on uploading a photo? I see the application has it as optional and I wonder are we talking fun like "this is me climbing a mountain" or "this is also my linkedin picture, with a blazer and button down". Or like a resume probably don't upload an image?

Still curious what all your thoughts are on this.

Hey, please excuse me for the brevity in that post (first post in the admissions thread, still trying to figure out the way people post). I'm planning to apply to apply in R1.

Nice! I'm wondering why you submitted this early? Does Ross do things on a rolling basis?

Are the recommendations sent as well?

I was satisfied with my essays. Delaying it wasn't doing any good as I wanted to focus on other schools applications.

Ross require just one reco and that piece is still to be done.

Thanks for helping. Are you class of 2019 - then I have spoken to many of your classmates.

I guess one fun question that I love asking is the thing about Ross that you like the most and the thing that you're not a fan of!

Yup, 2019-er here! Seeing as how we just finished orientation/impact-challenge my insights about the school itself are still limited, but my favorite part so far is still the same as my favorite part which I experienced during my interview: an openness to collaborate and help each other. It doesn't matter who you talk to, whether student, faculty or staff; everyone, and I mean everyone, will sit there and chat and work with you. It's really awesome.

The thing I dislike, and this may just be coming from orientation, but the school seems oddly focused on rankings. Like, I get it. I wish Ross was in the M7 too, but I figured once in B-School talks of rankings would be faux-pas. It just struck me as strange how open they were with it.

Thanks for helping us out Lucky4
I'm getting ahead of myself here, but do you remember the deposit deadlines for R1 and R2 admits last year? Want to gather as much info as possible.

Most probably I'm applying R1.

Hey Everyone,

Just FYI, I had been working on other applications that have September deadlines but I noticed that several people have said that they already submitted for Ross, so I went to check out the application and it turns out that their application, particularly the data form, is much more straight forward and easier to fill out than the other ones I have been working on so I think I'll be able to submit pretty quickly too as I have already finished everything except the essays. So in case anyone is planning to apply to Ross Round I, just know that it will be one of the easier apps to fill out.
