Anyone here who got the Darden event invite? Do you think not attending it can hinder your application?

I did get an invite but I don't think it will hinder any chances because the event can be conducted in a location that's not feasible to reach given professional work and personal commitments. I think if you are in Mumbai/NCR do attend else you can skip unless you really want to attend .

According to Live Wire, Darden has started to send out invites. Right now only US candidates out there. Good luck everyone!

Just got my invite today, but it was as part of the Jefferson Fellowship. I think general interview invites might be a little different
(I was also the livewire update lol)

Got the interview invite as well and will be going Nov 10th. When are y'all planning on interviewing?

Hi! i was wondering if anybody wants to do a mutual mock interview over skype. i post this here because i wouldn't want to do a mock interview with someone who is appying to the same schools (for a number of reasons). i think it would be also fair to do mock interviews between people who got interview invites already from at least one school.

for those of us whose interviewing skills are rusty (and especially for non-native speakers whose English is also rusty) it would be a great (and free!!) way to practice. why pay consultants if we can do it ourselves also, a person who has a totally fresh eye, may ask some questions that you didn't even expect, and there is a chance that interviewer (adcom member or alumni) may have the same question.

my suggested format is to have standard questions like WMTYR, why this school, why mba, etc. and then other questions - behavorial , etc would be random so it would be a real simulation. if there is a specific question that you want to be asked, this can be included too.

we can take notes, just like real interviewers, and give brief feedback over skype right after the interview.

I took the GRE, not the GMAT. I had a 330 with 164 Q / 166 V split.

No invites today? I imagine a large bulk of them will be coming out this week.

Yeah - I was hoping to start the week off with some good news but we'll have to keep waiting. My gut feeling is that they will send out a bulk of the invites this week.
