3 Tips for Oxford MBA Application from a Successful Applicant

Hello Oxford MBA applicants:
My name is Portia, an MBA graduate of Cambridge University Judge Business School. I wrote a similar post for Cambridge MBA applicants and I find the tips apply to Oxford for two reasons: 1) I received an MBA offer from Oxford Said and 2) Oxford and Cambridge have a lot in common. So I equally want you all to benefit from these tips! I have slightly revised it to apply to Oxford Said.
I was in your shoes just three years ago. So I deeply resonate with the challenge you are trying to conquer and how important it is to make this dream of getting into an elite business school a reality. Getting into Oxford or Cambridge was a teenage dream of mine! And I did not give up on it until it became a reality. Post-MBA, I volunteer a lot of my time at many MBA info sessions because simply said, I love helping people like you to choose the right business school and get into your dream MBA program.
Here are 3 tips to consider conveying in your MBA application for Oxford Said:
1) Demonstrate in your essays and your resume that you have international experience. This is a MUST. Whether be working on a project that the scope expands internationally, serving international clients, living/studying/working in foreign countries... all of these counts. The Oxford MBA class is very internationally diverse. And you have many opportunities to partake in international activities.
2) Demonstrate intellectual depth and ability to discuss a wide range of issues on a deep intellectual level whether be in your essay or in the interview. The University has the world's most prestigious debating club known as the Oxford Union. World leaders and influential figures are invited to have debates and discussions to an exclusive audience (which you could be in this audience). Whatever your passion/interest/expertise, know the topic(s) well enough that you can humbly educate your listener by conveying interesting, informative facts and stories that will expand their knowledge.
3) Demonstrate great ambition through articulating your post-MBA goals. Oxford boasts having distinguished alumni transforming the world we live in. They need to see that in you, that you are too destined for greatness. This is your time to think big, dream big, and make your big dreams a reality. (That's why you want to go to Oxford right?)
