Hi, I come from an average typical Indian middle class background. I want to know the practicality of me doing an MBA from one of the top 10 Universities of Canada in terms of the following :
1. Can a middle class Indian afford it without putting a huge financial burden on his/her parents?
YES!!This year a lot of folks on the GC (including moderators) got in with free rides to top bschools.
Be it US or Canada or Timbuktu => You need some sedulously work to get a full ride.2. Is doing an MBA from Canada one of the better means to immigrate to the country?
Better than most for sure.3. I've heard that an MBA degree is a very rigorous one, much more than an MS degree. So, is it possible to do a part time job in parallal to doing MBA?
Full time MBA -> Absolutely NO!
Part time MBA -> Hell yeah!4. How much of the college fees can be financed by loans?
From what I have head,Prodigy makes financing easier -lets you borrow the entire tuition fee and the living expenses.
Check out their website.5. What is the average ROI time for Canadian MBA colleges?
Tough to answer. Depends on the job/country you work post MBA/Visa6. Is it worth doing an MBA from mid - tier colleges of Canada?
I wouldn't recommend going down that road. US is better for mid tier schools.7. How much cheaper is a Canadian MBA from a US MBA?
Well, there is currency exchange rate which makes it cheaper.
Plus immigration policies are 100x times better.
So, yes its cheaper than US for sure.
But again, if you get a free ride to US schools -> Nothing like getting that US education. Please help me by answering the doubts above. ":)
