I have applied for Questrom MBA program but want to change it to MBA+MSDi program.Is that possible???

Is it possible -> Absolutely yes.
But is it recommended ?
NO


Their essays are structured in that way. The essay questions asks as to which course you want to choose and why..
So that would nullify your essay..
It reflects that you didnt prepare or research anything and applied just for the sake of getting accepted.
It reflects that the candidate in question (in this case you) made a rookie move with his career choices.



Now, if you are dead sure you only want to do this, here is what I recommend ->

EMAIL THEM and then CALL THEM.
Remember -> CALL THEM. It would reflect due diligence and responsible behaviour on your part .
Then specify your reason.
That reason better not be disingenuous..

A simple " I had a change of heart" won't cut it. Think logically about your response and prepare a pitch you would say to interviewer in the first 5 minutes.
My interview was carried out by the director of the program herself. She knows what she wants in a candidate. Your change of program might be a turn off.
Hence that intro pitch is very important.

I have completed my first ever MBA interview for Questrom.
A tip to the future interviewers -> I would not categorise it as an interview but rather a conversation. You should not forget the fact that its a blind interview and that it is only about half an hour long. So don't tell a sob story but rather say things succinctly.


The questions you must know how to answer ->
Tell me about yourself (this question sets the tone of the conversation so prepare a god-damn pitch !)
Why MBA and more importantly why now?
Why Questrom ? (Tell them what they want to hear... Make them feel like Questrom is Harvard)
ST and LT goals ?
What if your ST goals don't work out ?
Collaboration story ?
What are your greatest strengths?
What are your greatest weaknesses?
Failure story ?
Resume specific question (CRAM that baby up... Make sure you know what you wrote on the resume and can explain it well... I got quite a few of these)

  • Why MBA?

  • Do you have any questions for us?

1. I registered Skype interview, but i did not receive confirmation... Actually they have to send confirmation or just wait for set time for interview?
2. What about failure story? To tell smth anyway?

If the technical difficulty was at their end, I wouldn't worry too much about that.
However, it can a bit of a turn off.

But technical glitches occur all the time. So don't fret it.

The only thing you can do right now is to give a bit of a succinct explanation in the thank you email to your interviewer.
In a couple of sentences, make them belief that going to Questrom means the world to you and maybe apologise for the technical glitch.

Questrom most definitely always releases the decision right on the deadline day or a day before that.
So I would say 2nd to 3rd of march
