Can I ask whether you got any personal letter from your interviewer after the interview? I didn't get any.. Maybe because I am currently in South Korea. Wanted to find out whether a personal letter can be an evidence for the admission.

I did not get any letter from my interviewer so I suspect this is only for the local candidates. I might be wrong but I would not base my admission chances on receiving a letter or the lack of it.

Thank you, and yes I did receive a handwritten note on a Rice University card. I live in the Houston area, so I had my interview on a Friday and actually received the note in the mail the following Monday. I suspect anyone whom is invited for an interview of any type receives a card and that yours is simply winding its way through the multitude of hand-offs necessary to make it to South Korea. From what I've heard, the card is standard operating procedure for Rice admissions; a nice, but customary, gesture.

I know we still have a lot of time and generally I a one of those who would say keep positive attitude. But with calls are already getting out, it is kind of nerve-wracking. I'd have easily waited till the end, had it been the case for all. But when a few find out and I am still waiting, it is getting a bit tough.

Hey RF20, thanks for the kind words, they mean a lot.
I agree it is just a process and keeping a sane mind is all that we can do at this stage. You are also correct in saying that having an admit from KFBS means I have something to fall back on. And it is.
Karma is something I do believe in, but wouldn't know how they work. If my past posts helped others, it was only an attempt in the direction that I'd have loved to hear - had I been in their position, what I said to others. So, that's all I did.
Let's see. Keeping fingers crossed.
