For me it's mainly from a fit standpoint. From talking to Booth and Sloan students/alumni I found myself getting along better with the Booth students. Moreover, the Booth community was a lot more responsive during my research than the MIT one which was very important to me.
Also, to a lesser degree, the focus of the two programs makes Booth a better choice for me. Despite trying to shed the label, MIT is a tech school, I on the other hand would like to stay on the finance side and have very little interest in tech.
That being said, they're both amazing schools and one will find success at either program.
