Ok, so I took the PP2 exam today after a month of paper tests. Perhaps I failed to notice this earlier, but out of the 41 verbal questions, the test only scored 30. Similarly, the same thing happened on the math section. Is this how the real test works? I would appreciate a quick response from any of the members. Cheers,

Yes this is how it works even in the real test. Remember both the sections have experimental questions.

So in the real GMAT only 30 qs are scored?!!

That's correct 30 on Verbal and 28 on Quant. However, don't count on it, take each ques as if it were not an experimental one.

Or if you feel like you screwed up a question, use it as an excuse "Oh, don't worry, it was experimental..." This would help you move on.

Or if you are a "the cup is half empty" type guy, like I tend to be on occasion, you might end up feeling that the question you missed counted for a lot more than you thought before.
