Total workex - Will have 3.5-4 years at the time of beginning MBA studies

Work experience:
India: 2 months - in a startup as a QA
US: 2 years as Project/Power Systems Engineer in a medium sized private company, expecting a promotion this year.
Extra Curricular activities:

Looking to get into Finance/General Management post MBA.

Would appreciate a frank evaluation (and suggestions) of my candidature for INSEAD, LSB, Cambridge, Oxford and IMD. Also, since I have time with me, I would like to have an opinion on whether or not I should re-take GMAT. I believe I can score 740-50 in the second attempt.

Thanks,

Hi naradmuni,

Thanks for your post. For your candidacy, I recommend you read this case study of an Indian engineer who was accepted into a top MBA program. It should provide insight for your candidacy: http://www.stacyblackman.com/client-stories/

One thing that is important in your application, is that you differentiate yourself from a competitive candidacy pool. Business schools are looking to cultivate future leaders, so any leadership/management experience you can point to is important.

Best,
Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team
