Hello,
Currently in my first year of working, hoping to matriculate with three full years work experience. I'd like to know my chances and what I can do to improve my application -- right now I'm not doing much outside of working, so ideas there are helpful...
Stats:
Female Asian-American
HYP undergrad degree in govt/politics, 3.6 GPA
Haven't yet taken GMAT, diagnostic test suggests 750+
Fairly strong undergrad leadership (I think?): honor committee, speech, student publications, officer of sorority, and more
Working at litigation consulting firm
Hoping very hard for HBS, GSB, Booth, and Sloan.
Thanks!
Certainly everything to date is competitive at elite business schools. If you can make time for one major non-professional activity and take a leadership role there, that would be ideal. Also, you say you are Asian American, if you have spent significant time abroad, great. If not, international exposure would also strengthen your profile. Finally, increasing responsibility there over the next three years is something the schools will look for.
Best,
Linda
