Hi there,
Thanks for posting, and CONGRATS on that very impressive GMAT score! As well as your ISB acceptance. So am I understanding correctly that you are not interested in ISB, or are considering alternatives, or ??
You have a lot going for your application, in terms of diversity of experiences, accomplishments, awards, involvement, etc, not to mention scores/stats. You are of course part of a common applicant profile, Indian applicants with IT experience, so it's always a challenge to try to stand out from the rest of the crowd with similar credentials, but your GMAT, work in rural healthcare, and numerous awards and recognitions should help you do so. Your full-time work experience is less than average so the question will be 'is NOW the best time for you?'; just be prepared to answer that theoretical q in essays, and actual q in interviews.
Keep in mind that VC goals out of b-school without a background in it are often considered unrealistic, and that your long-term goal, while admirable, could be considered a bit vague and lofty... think through some more concrete action steps/plans for your post-MBA goals, so that you can support them if interviewed on them.
You should have a CHANCE at the schools on your list, keeping in mind those are the most competitive programs out there (Stanford being most selective on your list), but it will still be challenging, even with a 770. Most likely a lot will be determined by your essays and how you present yourself, your experiences, your goals, your story, so to speak. But if you do a good job with your applications overall, you would likely get requests to interview at many top programs. It might be a good idea to include a school or two outside the top 8-10 ranked programs, though, just to be sure (but only if you would actually consider going there over ISB).
Keep us posted on q's and your progress, and good luck to you!
Thank you for your detailed response. I am interested in ISB but I am just checking out my alternatives. Depending on my chances with the top schools I will try to take an informed decision. But I don't see much sense in applying to lower ranked programs. ISB is a fairly reputed college and in terms of its location being in the local Indian market and the obvious ROI, it becomes almost a definite choice otherwise (I hope my assumptions are correct).
