Hey there good sir,
Well it's a bit light on the deets but what I can see I like. IIT, solid work experience, with growth and concrete achievements.

If he really is serious about Top 10, then I think he should really consider a retake. As an Indian he's working with a -30 handicap, and should be at least 20 points over the average if not more.

Other than that I'd love to hear more detail about the work experience especially achievements and leadership.

How big is the home furniture startup? How many employees? Is is shops? what's market share? And how has it been growing and what is its future potential?

Thanks for the detail good sir.
so To me I'm seeing more of a Top20 than a Top10 profile here. The schooling is great. But the GMAT and work experience are "only" good rather than amazing. And the top schools basically pick whoever they want, esp when it comes to the number of applicants they see from India.

Should he try? Of course! But once again - the key to a happy application, is a balanced strategy!
