Program: MBA(FT) with a focus on Technology/GM

GMAT: 730 (Q 49, V 42, AWA pending)

Undergrad GPA: 68% Engineering, University of Madras
Grad GPA: 3.8 MS Computer Science, University of Southern California

Work experience(WE): 4 years on matriculation in a software company in Maryland. Some mentoring of new hires but nothing formal.

Nationality: Indian
Age: 28 at matriculation
Gender: M

Extra-curriculars/community:

- Toastmasters
- Helped design a website for a small non profit that works on education for children in third world countries
- Little bit of volunteering

I wish to target 4 universities (2 ambitious and 2 competitive)

Ambitious
1) Duke
2) UCLA
3) NYU - Stern
4) UVA - Darden

Competitive

1) UNC
4) University of Texas - Austin
5) Carnegie Mellon - Tepper
6) USC - Marshall

Of the 4 ambitious schools you listed, I think your odds are highest at Virginia and Duke, but I would regard both of them as "reach" schools for you. Of your competitive schools, I think your odds are highest at Texas McCombs and USC (UNC is a close second here though). Given your goals you would also be competitive at Arizona (Eller), Maryland, and Minnesota (Carlson).
