Thanks for the posting.
Based on what you present, the problem is not that you worked for a company that is not well known - but that your grades and extra-curricular activities and community service profile are not competitive with T-10 levels. If you put your mind to it, you can change the community service profile, but the grades are still going to hold you back.
I know there is a strong desire to attend a T-10 program and take advantage of the strong recruiting. However, many schools from T-11 to T-30 also have very good recruiting programs and if you do well and are proactive about your career, you will be able to obtain a position in strategy consulting. Programs at this level are much more likely for you, although not guaranteed. To be admitted, you are going to have to still submit compelling applications including strong essays, recommendations, resumes and perform well on your interview. This is not an area of your candidacy that you should take lightly and you need to invest the time, energy and resources to make sure that it is compelling and properly reflects your background, goals and motivations.
