There's not a lot of info to go on here; much of a profile review by us or by a program such as ISB will come from more detail of your work and your resume and accomplishments... examples of leadership are key for example, especially for an EMBA. Management experience is a plus and teamwork/collaboration skills. Feel free to do a resume submission for a more detailed discuss if interested, at www.mbamission.com/consult. I'm not sure I'm following your meaning of 'not on company roll' fyi.

So it sounds like you have solid quantitative and analytical skills. The more you can demonstrate the teamwork and interpersonal skills, along with leadership, the better your chances would be. GMAT is ok but if you feel you could improve, you could consider giving it another try as there's no real down side to doing so. Be sure you focus a lot on how your post-MBA goals have driven your decision to apply, and to this school, and at this point in your career. Show a strong knowledge of the program and passion for it. It may be a bit of a reach but worth a shot.

Please review my profile for the ISB 2020 batch admissions:
X- 86% XII- 77% B.Tech (Civil)- 7.63 CGPA from a top 5 National Institute of Technology
Workex- 31 months till date (Will be around 40 months when I am planning to apply) in a 'Special Purpose Vehicle' of the Government of India and State Government. I have worked in the tendering section of a couple of public transportation projects (Managed by the same company) worth US$ 3 Billion (INR 20,000 Cr.) in total. My role includes preparation of tender document from techno-commercial-legal point of view, co-ordination with media houses for wide publicity of invitation of bids, co-ordination with international funding agencies such as EIB, AFD, World Bank, etc. for their NOC to the invitation of bids, represent the government client in the Pre-Bid meetings, replying to individual queries, evaluation of bids received and co-ordination with all the stakeholders till final award of work. I was personally involved in all these activities for 5-6 tenders of US$ 60 Million (INR 400 Cr.) each apart from a few dozen smaller tenders. I was also entrusted with managing a Supreme Court case on behalf of my company in a US$ 65 Million (INR 500 Cr.) litigation where we were represented by the Ex-Finance Minister of the country (As an attorney) which we eventually won. I also got a couple of back to back promotions in the organization and working at managerial position right now.
Extra Curriculars- Wrote fictional stories on a famous website. One of these stories was within the top 3 of the genre for a long time. Played guitar in a couple of events. Participated in street play event in college and won second prize. Organised a business event in college.
Co curriculars- Nothing too stellar during college, just won a couple of district level math and science competitions/scholarships during my school days.
I am aiming for my MBA in Strategy and Leadership from ISB as well as industry specialization in Infrastructure. Although my work-ex provided me extraordinary learning opportunities and exposure, I have always observed that the real brain behind the project was the consultants we engaged for the management of these project. The client was merely an enabler and decision maker (Which is taken by the highest in echelons only). A masters degree and specialization has immense value in my field of work and based on my previous work experience, I feel that management education will augment my profile better in the desired direction than a technical or law based masters program. Hence, I feel that my strategic acumen and skills will grow much faster in a consultancy job which I aim to grab after a formal management education.
I am planning to appear for GMAT this summer and aiming for a 700+ at the least. How should I develop my profile to maximize my chances of an admit?

First of all congratulation on a stellar academic record. ISB & IIMs do value academic records a lot.
On the question on GMAT. One simple rule. Get the best GMAT score you can get. Don't hesitate to appear twice or even trice if not satisfied with the score. I believe 720+ will be competitive. But remember we are in India. Even 740 is not too uncommon here. So get your best score

Hello Kundal
You have great profile with good grades Assuming you are an Indian candidate I would strongly suggest to score 700+ in the GMAT GMAT is not the only criteria, but we Indians score very high in GMAT.
So its always advisable if you dont have an extra ordinary profile try to get a higher GMAT. I think you are a kind of profile all B-schools like to have. Just give them one more reason & score 700+.

You definitely have a sound profile, complete with leadership experience, exposure handling international clients, and achievements to show at work. These elements, when combined, will certainly help you in building a strong case for ISB.
Having said the above, you will need to keep a few things in mind: - Ensure that the goals you are talking about are in strong sync with your existing work experience and qualifications. - Attempt to thread your story in a way that it highlights your strengths and skill-set and how you will contribute to the ISB experience. - Aim for a GMAT score upwards of 710 as you are an Indian candidate and the expectations are always higher. 710 is only around the average score for ISB, and needless to say, the higher the score the better it will be The good part is that you have time at hand and can always prepare for the test
We would like to take this opportunity to offer you a free profile evaluation. Should you feel the need for the same, please do get in touch with us

While the extent of your work experience is not on the higher side, you seem to have played a crucial role at MMT and won a number of Awards as well Besides, the extra curricular engagement will also help showcase you as an all-around individual. A lot, therefore, depends on how well you portray your story i.e. how well you are able to portray the work you have done, the skills you have garnered, and how you intend to utilize all of this to contribute to the overall ethos at ISB. Of course, another thing, just as important, is your career aspiration. Remember that you short-term and long-term goals must showcase a strong sync with your existing work experience and must flow seamlessly.
Adding to the above, you must equally focus on getting a GMAT score upwards of 710/720. The higher the better You do have time and you can always put your best foot forward.
