Hello @yogitarwt
I just have 2 brief points on this-
1. Your goals look all over the place. This may lead to a weak narrative. Stick with 1 or 2 realistic goals.
2. If international work ex is your priority, ISB may not be a good choice.

Hello Varun,
Thanks for your revert on my post. .
In response to your questions, please read below :
GMAT : Most Likely by Mid Aug. Target score : 700+
Career Goals : Immediately after MBA, would like to get absorbed in consulting, investment/wholesale banking , Operations role, where I can develop my professional skills further and gives me the opportunity for international work experience either by joining the office location abroad or being sent by the company in India as per the requirement. However, I do not wish to take up the sales job in retail sector , even though I am fine with client facing roles. An international work experience is the must that I am looking forward to post MBA.
Why MBA is absolutely necessary for me ? I wish to switch the functional role (from banking to consulting, first preference) or the banking domain from retail banking to investment banking/ Treasury .Need MBA for the upliftment of my position from Junior Management level to atleast middle management, post MBA. Also, I would like to work in foreign banks like JP Morgan , Morgan Stanley, HSBC etc . In a nutsell, for a career change, gain credibility , and better access to recruiters.
An international work experience is a must I am looking forward , post MBA.
I understand, MBA is not the solution to all problems but the generic skills required for banking or any sector, are enhanced.
Please share your insights .
Thanks in advance!
Yogita
If you can manage a 730 on the GMAT, you have a pretty solid profile.
Would like to understand more around your career progression and achievements as that is what will make your story. You can read to know all the factors that will matter at ISB for admission.
Extracurricular can help, but in your case it will not break your chances, to stand out bring out the business impact of your work related contributions.
The most important piece of your profile is missing- Career goals. What are your future plans and why is an MBA an absolute necessity to reach these goals? Add to your research by reading. You will need to project career goals that fit your profile and what ISB can offer.
Plan your timeline well in case you wish to apply in R1, when are you taking the GMAT?
Needless to say how you tie up all of these factors in your essay will decide the outcome.
