Hello!
Could you evaluate my profile as well?
Work experience:Currently employed with Tata Consultancy Services at Hyderabad, India- since January 2017. I had clear insight that I didn't want to be working on a technically oriented role so I kept my choices narrowed down to managerial roles within my firm.
Used to work as a Project Management Officer (Jan 2017 to Dec 2018) on 1 project- tasks involved were billing, Stakeholder Management, Work Order management, Revenue/Margin enhancement and maintenance of the Revenue Cost registers.
Took up 2 more projects within the next 6 months- notably, one of the projects is one of the biggest projects operating out of Hyderabad.
Since January 2019, have been promoted to a Pricing Analyst- currently part of a global team of 25 Pricing SMEs. I'm the youngest person on boarded onto a team where the average work experience is 9 years (I completed 2 years of work ex on Jan 2019).
A typical day in this role involves working on deal cost models, developing P&L and Cash flow for Contracts, supporting the Bid managers, Sales heads and Solution Heads in developing Contract schedules and determining financial implications of Contract terms.
So by the time I apply for Round 1 this year, I would be having roughly 31 months of work ex.Academics:B. Tech in Electronics and Telecommunications from Cochin University of Science and Technology (NBA Accredited Tier 1 College) (July 2016= 77.4%)
12th- CBSE (2012= 87.33%)
10th- ICSE (2010= 84.00%)
Extra curriculars:Classical music enthusiast, trained in the same (vocal)- both Carnatic and Hindustani styles. Proficient in playing the Keyboard/Harmonium (instruments).
Love debating, public speaking and am a voracious reader. Reasonably confident enough to claim that I have a way with words.
Won a certificate of recognition from the CBSE for outstanding performance in 'English Core'- for being in the top 1% of successful candidates in the country (India).
First GMAT score= 600 (Nov'18). Attempting again by Jul'19- aiming for a 750+.Do I stand a chance at being a part of the ISB PGPM Class of 2021? Reading some of the profiles here was pretty intimidating- I'm feeling pretty timid. But all the same, I'm excited. Looking forward to a response!

Hi
vsnair9 Quick feedback on your profile and chances:
- The pricing intelligence role you are in is excellent, and would certainly give you an edge in terms of your knowledge of contract sizes, TCVs and ACVs, and price benchmarking. This does differentiate you from the typical IT applicant.
- That said, you are still from TCS, which is a company from which many many people apply to ISB every year, and will still be broadly considered part of the IT pool.
This article will certainly be of relevance to you in general.
- Overall, your ECA are fine (the English core certificate doesn't count, though) and your acads are good as well.
- If you can achieve your target GMAT score, you should definitely have a good chance at ISB.
Hope this helps. Feel free to come back with more queries as needed.
