Dear Team,
Request you to please evaluate my profile. Would appreciate it a lot.
Demographics:
Male 25 years old from India
GMAT: 700 (Awaiting the scoresheet)
Academics:
Bachelor of Engineering (Hons). in Electronics From BITS Pilani(One of the best schools in India for Engineering).
CGPA: 7.8/10 or 3.16/4
Work Experience:
Danieli Pvt Ltd - September 2010 to April 2011
Danieli, an Italian Company, ranks among three largest suppliers of equipment and plants to the metal industry in the world.
Was a Management Trainee. The role was of Project Management(assisting the Project Manager for Vizag Steel Plant) . Meanwhile, on rotation for 2 months each in the Engineering, Installment, Procurement, and Sales team.
Siemens Ltd (May 2011 to Present)
May 2011- September 2012
Joined Siemens In the Industry Sector-Product Portfolio Management(PPM) as Executive. The role was to understand the future products of Siemens and prepare the customers to migrate to the new product line. However, to fully understand the products it was quite necessary to first have a hands on experience. So during my 16 months stay in the PPM group, I gained the technical skills required by involving myself in one live Production machine. Meanwhile proactively i collected Statistical and Intelligent data on Siemen's competitors, benchmarking our products with them, customer's feedback on our products etc.
September 2012 to August 2013
I was moved to the Business Development group of Production Machines. it was a job with very high responsibility considering the fact that the BD team comprised of just 2 members who were supposed to look after over 1.2 billion INR business. Worked intensively to penetrate the market. My key contributions were: identifying few high potential sectors such as packaging, leverage Siemens' technical know how as a POD as against the competitors' POD, which is their lower cost position, push a new product in the market, creating new channel partners to make the system more efficient, increase Siemens visibility by participating in Trade shows and many more. Also won an award for pioneering a new technological initiative(PACK ML) in India.
September 2013 to Present
After a very successful stint in the BD team i have been recently given a bigger role of handling giant customers such as Unilever. i am the Account Manager for Unilever(the youngest to be so). the challenges that lay ahead are immense considering the fact that Siemens' presence in Unilever is very minimal and that Unilever is such a big account that we cannot afford to miss. This position was created especially to cater this big gap. The nature of the job is also very promising. Majority of my interactions are with the Technical head of Unilever Global (a Dutch), Global Manager for Unilever (a BRIT) and the Siemens Management in Germany. Had a 2 month stint in Germany to understand the responsibility to the fullest.
Extracurricular:
I have a Private Pilot license for Small aircraft-Cessna 172R. i had a passion for flying so this is the reason i got one license.
Have participated in numerous activities such as in INSEAD Bootcamp, IIT Techfest, BITS Techfest, Greenpeace NGO etc.
During my free time i engage myself in 10 m Rifle Shooting. i am the member of Lakshya Shooting academy.
Target Programs:
Priority: Booth, Kellog, Darden, IESE
Fallback Options: ESADE,IE
I am planning to apply in 2013-14 R2. I decided on doing an MBA pretty late and, hence, missed out on R1 applications.
Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Annamitra
