First, probably both 2- and 1-year programs could meet your needs; each has its benefits and drawbacks. The 2-year would give you an internship opportunity in consulting, whereas the 1-year would move you along quicker (and less expensively) toward your goals.
Kellogg strikes me as a good potential
reasonable-reach program, and you might consider Columbia’s 18-month January-start program as well (reasonable reach). Darden would be a great target as well, given its case-study emphasis. I do think HBS and Wharton are perhaps out of reach – other excellent programs are within closer reach and applying to them would be a better use of your time. For example, Ross which has a strong experiential focus and is good for consulting, and for closer to on-par, Kenan-Flagler at UNC.
