Hi!
I'm a fresh undergrad planning to apply to Master in Finance programs this year.
About me:
Polish Male, 21
GMAT: 720 (Q47,V42, IR 8, AWA 5.0)
Undergraduate Qualification: Finance and Accounting (GPA 3.8/4) from top polish university of economics
Work experience: 5 months internship in deal advisory, valuations department in Big4 firm and still interning
Extra activities:
- runner up in a few student competitions (mostly national level)
- author of 2 scientific articles
- active participation in student organizations i.e. doing projects, organizing conferences etc. (finance and economics related)
My target programs:
- LBS MFA
- HEC MIF
- Imperial MIF
- St Gallen
My concern is whether should I retake the GMAT to get higher quant score. Verbal score is in line with my mock exams (39-44), while quant is 2-3 point lower than my mocks (which were mostly 49 or 50).
So, should I take a month or so to retake GMAT and then apply in December/January in round 2 or should I apply with this result in round 1 - that is around October/November for most schools?
How does my profile stack up against these programs?
Your expert evaluation would be highly appreciated!
Kind Regards
