Would be taking CFA level 2 again in June, 2012.

iii. Option Trading Strategies (92.5 %)

Other achievments:

No notable extra curricular

Work Ex.

Worked with following clients in TCS as Analyst:

Areas of interest:
Strategy based trading in derivatives.Have been trading for around 4 yrs now with occasional breaks.

I am not sure which colleges should I target based on aforementioned score and profile.

What I am looking for is post graduation in Finance from the best college within reach in accordance with my profile and GMAT score range. I am really interested in investments side and it would be really great if someone could help me with some relevant colleges.

The colleges I have in mind are: ISB, NUS, UCLA.
My dream colleges are : Chicago Booth, Columbia, Wharton. NYU - Stern is one college I would like to evaluate my chances for.

Please guide on some (both "worth taking a call" as well as "safe") colleges.

Hi Rohit,

The assumption I make here is that your GMAT score will end up being 700. A score around this will be just about par (and even below par) at most of the schools you mention - it is an ambitious list.

That apart, from the list you mentioned I have the following recommendations:
Safe - NUS
Iffy - ISB (but still a long shot)
Stretch - UCLA/Booth/Columbia/Stern/Wharton

Weakness in your profile - Magnitude of work ex is low. Being an engineer your profile is similar to the majority applicant pool. The certifications do help, but the CFA will not help until you clear at least level 2. You also need to bolster your extra-curriculars.

Next steps:
(a) Take the GMAT and try to do as well on it as you can - try and go beyond the 700 cap
(b) Try and create a powerful application - on pure profile parameters you are about average, but the differentiation could be a very strong application.

All the best and happy to answer any other queries you may have.
