Indian with 24 months of experience in energy sector from one of the top conglomerates in india. At matriculation would be three years. Looking at a good previleged institution for MBA in US or canada.
Secured a GMAT score of 760 ( Quants 50 Verbal 42) in the first attempt. I have a gpa of 3.5 on conversion to American norms in engineering ( electrical and electronics) I do have a good percentage in my high school >90%. Also would be requiring decent amount of grant / scholarship for completion of course.
Please suggest universities so that i do not have to compromise on the quality of education and employment for the sake of grant. Looking for an MBA in finance, supply chain management / strategy.

With a relatively short amount of WE and a BIG GMAT score, I would at least try to throw in an application at the schools who seem historically to favor younger applicants such as HBS, Stanford and Yale. Certainly your applicant pool is a deep one, but if you craft a compeling vision for your future and can demonstrate your leadership potential in what you have achieved so far, you could have a shot.

Hi,
Thank you for the reply.Do you think a few colleges like texas A & M, wisonsin school of business and sam walton college will accept this profile and score for 2012. How are these colleges and do you think I should wait and apply to better colleges the next year as the score is valid for five years.

You'd be aiming too low with those schools, but perhaps if you want to use them as insurance, you could apply. I am not sure why you think you need to wait, other than to get more WE. If you can demonstrate impact and leadership potential, and get good recommendations, you should have a shot this year at top schools, but try to get on the ball and make the R1 deadline if you can.
