Wanted to know if my profile is competitive for certain top programs based on the stats i have already:

Background
Age-24 (will be applying when I am 27-28 though)
Undergrad: Ivy (non-HYP but top 10) Engineering and Economics dual degree, math minor, 3.43 undergrad GPA. Cum laude.

Grad school: Masters in engineering from the same Ivy. 3.78 grad GPA.
Fluent in German and Spanish

GRE: 165/170 Q 167/170 V
GMAT - 780

Work
Currently deciding between a brand-name Big Pharma company (think J&J, Pfizer,Roche, Novartis) and a top healthcare consulting boutique (think ZS, ClearView, IMS).

Long term goal - Corporate Strategy or Commercial/Pricing role in Big Pharma.

top choices - HBS, Wharton, Sloan, Booth, Kellogg, CBS.
Do i have any decent chances at any of my top choices? (I know my undergrad GPA is low-ish...)
Also would top MBA programs look more favorably at someone working in a top Pharma company or a top healthcare consulting boutique? Which of the two is in general the bigger feeder to elite MBA programs? Thanks a lot!!

Hi adamsloan let me address your profile below. Thanks for reaching out.
Background
Age-24 (will be applying when I am 27-28 though) That is a great age to apply.
Undergrad: Ivy (non-HYP but top 10) Engineering and Economics dual degree, math minor, 3.43 undergrad GPA. Cum laude. For engineering and math and econ I think the 3.43 is solid.

Grad school: Masters in engineering from the same Ivy. 3.78 grad GPA. may want to explain masters in engineering-
great to be fluent in several languages

Fluent in German and Spanish

GRE: 165/170 Q 167/170 V
GMAT - 780This is going to turn some heads so great job there

Do i have any decent chances at any of my top choices? (I know my undergrad GPA is low-ish...) I don't see it as that low- and your masters gpa helps plus you took some very challenging classes
Also would top MBA programs look more favorably at someone working in a top Pharma company or a top healthcare consulting boutique? Which of the two is in general the bigger feeder to elite MBA programs? Thanks a lot!!
I think here is where you don't necessarily want to do what everyone else is- I would not worry about what the school thinks but more what makes more sense for YOUR interests and lifestyle. I can see a clear path with either route. We would love to talk to you more about your profile and help you with your strategy here: to reach out for a free consult go to this link: https://stratusadmissionscounseling.com ... b-visitor/
