Hello! I would like to get some evaluations on my profile and what I need to do to strengthen my profile.

South Korean female

Age – 26

GMAT – yet to take (hoping to get around 680-700. Mock test result without any studying was Q49 V31 )

Education – Majored in Education, Graduated from a leading school (top 3) in Seoul, 3.9/4.5 GPA.

Work Experience - Currently working at an international school in Seoul as an HR/Program Coordinator. (1 year and 6 months in)

Reasons for seeking MBA - I enjoyed doing HR work (especially hiring and employee training) and would like to learn more about it so that I can move out from education field and start working as a corporate HR manager - I wouldn't mind working abroad either. I have thought of applying for HR jobs first but since my background is in education, it's a little tricky to get jobs outside of the field of education.

I know I just started looking and my profile is very weak now - I am willing to take time up to 1-2 years to strengthen my profile and get a good GMAT score while I am working at my current job. I wish to attend a B school in the states or Europe (preferably in England) focusing on Human Resource/Strategic Organization Behavior.

I would like to know what are some concrete steps I can take aside studying for GMAT (and TOFLE) to build my profile.

Thank you for reading, and I appreciate your insights in advance!

Hi blueblac92,

Thank you for your post and for sharing your profile. I worked in HR in a previous life, and understand the rewarding feeling you must get when hiring and training. There are indeed some weaknesses in your profile, but nothing that cannot be addressed. To provide a concrete guide, I would require a better understanding of your profile. Generally speaking, you want to show academic success, leadership experience, and a genuine desire to build community. A clear idea of your professional goals is also a must. There are things you can do to improve all areas, but again, a better understanding of your profile is required.

I would be happy to evaluate your profile in a one-on-one conversation (free consultation). If interested, please reach out to coordinate a call (contact details in signature).

Good luck!
