HI there! Thanks for reaching out! You've got a good list but given that you are an Indian male engineering I'd round out your list with some lower ranked schools as well. As I'm sure you know, you're coming from the toughest demographic out there when it comes to b-school apps & it's one that tends to have very high GMAT scores as well (typically 20-30 points above a school's average). So with a 700, you are generally going to be competitive at schools where the average is in the 680 range if that makes sense. That's not to say you don't have a shot at schools where the average GMAT is 700 -- they'll just be more of a stretch. Either way it will be critical to differentiate yourself from the crowd & there are lots of ways to do that. The specifics of your work experience are a big piece of your value prop. The adcom wants to see applicants who have driven meaningful & ideally quantifiable impact at work (e.g. driving increases in revenue or decreases in cost, launching profitable new products, etc). It's also important to be able to show leadership experience both at work & in your extracurriculars. Finally, your post-MBA goals are a key piece as well. The adcom wants to know exactly what you plan to do in the ST & LT (target titles & 2-3 target firms), the unique impact you want to have, and WHY this is your passion. To be honest with you, consulting is an extremely popular post-MBA goal among Indian male engineers (the #2 most common goal after product manager in a tech firm, in my experience). So it would be worth considering possibly shifting that to something more unique. That's definitely a huge part of the work we do with clients. You want to name a goal that you feel genuinely excited about but at the same time you want a goal that's going to get you in.

Based on what you've shared here & assuming your GMAT stays at 700, I'd consider adding schools in the 20-30 range (we used US News & World Report rankings) -- the specific schools that are the right fit for you will depend on whether you stick with consulting as a goal or shift that. You want to be able to make an argument that each school is the best fit for your specific goals.

If you need any help thinking through your strategy & your story definitely reach out to us. If you email Claudia at she can set you up with an MBA consultant who can take a look at your resume & give you some more specific guidance on how to differentiate yourself. Either way best of luck to you!
