Hi I was hoping you could evaluate my profile. Thanks!

1) White male: 28.
2) Two years in a consulting role. And Three years in Equity Research at a boutique as the lead analyst covering med devices.
3) GMAT 700: Q46, V40
4) Graduate from U. Tampa: GPA 3.5, Major 3.75. 4.0 my senior year. Also studied in Japan for my junior year.
5) CFA charter holder. Also took Calc I and II through UCLA Berkeley's distance program and got A's (I essentially had to teach myself).

Your candidacy is compelling. I think your target schools are very reachable. I would ask why do you need an MBA given the CFA? How is the MBA necessary- you need to answer that questions for the Adcom? This needs to be a solid answer. Can you not transition without the MBA into buyside/PE/VC? Be clear on this.

Rather than seeing it as "not much charity work" think of the jiujitsu training from the perspective of how it makes you a leader, and what initiatives you have taken in the jiujitus regard. I think the jiujitsu is a differentiating point for you that you should think a lot about as you position yourself- the discipline, the maturity, the mental and physical strength... Also can you take on a leadership role, or chair something at the wounded vet organization.

Take some time to think about what differentiates you in the most compelling manner and start drilling down on those metrics of you.

How about your recommendations? they will be key. Begin to identify who will best represent you as a stellar candidate to a Wharton.

Lastly, answer how you will be an ambassador for the school post-grad. What will you offer as an alum that will enhance the brand?

Best of Luck-
