Hi, AM! First, congrats on your track record of promotions at work. You have some really good points in your profile, but you have two big challenges to conquer - one is that you are in a highly competitive category of applicants and the other is that you need money from the schools. When you are in a competitive category, it helps to outperform not only the schools' averages but also your peers' performance (the more successful in this group will usually have higher than the usual qualifications), and so if you can only do a few applications, I'd try to find programs where you'd be happy but where your scores are a level above the averages -- for example, where your 720 is a good 30-40 points higher as a rough rule of thumb. You certainly can include a reach school, but with money a concern, it's probably safer to be more conservative. For that reason, I'd indeed focus on the European programs over the super tough US schools you've named. Remember, you'll also want to execute well on the applications and understand how they'll help you with your future plans. Best of luck!
Warmly,
Julie-Anne Heafey
mbaMissionHi @mbaMissionJA/ Julie,
Requesting your opinion here, i understand I should rather create a new post but wasn't able to find the right way to do so.
I have taken the GMAT thrice and I was devastated today after scoring a Q48, V38, 700. My last score was Q46 V41 on the 09th september.
The deadlines for round 1 are here and my target schools are Foster, Anderson, Tepper. I understand with this score I stand no chance at these schools given the fact that I fall into the Indian Male category.
Now, the situation is whether I prep again and apply for Round 2 or just got ahead with this score. Tepper and Anderson would reject me right off the bat, but I was wondering if I do have a slim chance at Foster?
I'm leaning towards a 4th attempt. But that means R1 is out of the picture. Please provide feedback.
