Thanks workout. This is a great initiative. I haven't done much RC practice since my diagnostic test so will definitely jump on this starting tomorrow.

The passages only takes < 20 mins but spending that ~ 20mins everyday is the key. Hence we started this.

Great Initiative! I had been looking for something like this after seeing QOTDs for CR and SC.
How do I subscribe to this?

Great initiative workout.

I have a question on timing. How should I monitor my timing when doing RC? I know it varies based on the length of passages and number of accompanying questions.

Lets say if it is a long passage, is 3 minutes for reading and 1 minute/question a reasonable benchmark? Should shorter passages be read in 2 minutes?

Thank you.

First of all, I wouldn't worry about the timing aspect until I hit the desired accuracy level. If you are finishing the passages in time with less accuracy, it is no good.

Once you hit the desired accuracy level, please go through the following

Hey workout,

A very great initiative. This thread is very useful for those who want to practice RC's and do not have to wander here and there.

I have one question though. What is the source of all the RC's that you are posting?

Regards

I am going through the RC's that already exist in RC forum, and there are tonnes of those. I am also making sure I won't post any RC's that have a debatable OA or OE.

Also, when possible, I will update the source on the RC itself. Let me know what you think of the RC's posted above. The algorithm can be tweaked

Thanks for putting this together workout! I wished I had something easy to keep track like this while I was studying for the GMATs as I usually just wander into the Reading Comprehension forum and just do any passage and sometimes keep clicking back to the same one.

For those of you looking to improve your RC score, I think that daily practice is key in being able to understand the kind of passages that the GMAT throws at you and at the same time uncover the different question types that will appear on the exam. Like training for any Sport, practice is key for the GMAT so it's definitely advisable to keep a daily routine and practice each topic so that you won't lose the 'muscle' memory for being able to really hone in on breaking down the RCs. As you read more passages, do more problems, and review answers, you'll definitely start to pick up on some of the nuances of the exam and be able to answer questions in a more methodical way.

Think of training for a marathon where at first you run a terribly slow rate of 15 minutes per mile but as you train each day, your body starts adapting to the intensity of the workout and slowly but surely your stamina improves and you increase your running speed. For those that just started their GMAT journey, I highly encourage you to just read the passages, understand the problems, and review the solutions in-depth. Don't aim for timing yet, as the more you read and familiarize yourself, you'll develop a sort of 'internal clock' for knowing how fast/slow you are on each passage. Once you start having a better grip of understanding the RCs and its question types, start pacing and timing yourself as you build up to the exam.

Cheers!

I personally do not believe in any tricks for RC. Hence I follow what this post says https://gmatclub.com/forum/experts-topi ... 41004.html

That said, there are ways members found out to be useful for RC https://gmatclub.com/forum/how-to-destr ... 30247.html

Figure out which one works for you and stick to it.

Thanks for this effort. Will you provide everyday 2 passages or it is up to August 16 only?

Are any of these RC going to be from GMAT Prep? The only reason I ask is because I want to avoid doing any of the GMAT prep questions so I can save them for actual practice tests. Thanks!
