Hi guys,
Many a times, GMAT tests the properties of the number zero. So I think it'll be beneficial for everyone to memorize those properties. So lets put it all on one place. Let me start by putting down the properties I remember:

1. 0 is neither positive nor negative.
2. 0 is an even integer

Based on the above 2 properties, a trap DS question may be framed as below:
Q: What is the value of non negative integer n?
1. n is even
2. n is less than 4

The statements might lead one to think that n is "2" but thats not correct. n can be zero also. "non negative" doesn't necessarily mean that the number is positive. I've fallen to this trap enough number of times to by heart this! So, Always check for 0. In the above question, the answer will be (E)

3. 0!= 1. Don't ask me why, just memorize it!
4. 0/0 is not allowed on the GMAT
5. Any number raised to the power 0, will yield the result 1. n^0=1
6. 0^n=0
7. 0^0=1 (however, GMAT doesn't test this property)

Please add any other properties that I missed..

gmatpapa -

Excellent post. One more property of Zero that I would point out - 0 is multiple of every integer.
