10% fruit of a seller was damaged during the transportation, and another 15% was rotten, At what profit at percentage should he sell the rest of the good so that he can make an overall profit of 20%. explain this math solve
Let’s say the seller bought 100 units of fruit at a total cost of $100. He lost 25 units (damaged during transportation & rotten). He has 75 units left. To make a profit of 20%, he should make a total revenue of $120 from 75 units. Since 75 units cost the seller $75, s/he must make a profit of $45 on them. (45/75)*100=60%. Therefore, s/he needs to sell them at a 60% profit.

Take distance as x(length of the bridge)+100m(length of train) . Speed you and time you already have. Convert all to the same units and do the calculation

How ,please explain in detail .
72 km/he converting to m/sec will be (72*5)/18 = 20 m/sec
Then , as per formula : Speed*time = Distance
20*25 = 500 m
Taking out train’s length: 500 -100 = 400 m

An auditor wants to conduct audits in 4 schools, of 5 different cities, in such a way that no two schools belong to same city. If in each city, there are 2 schools then in how many ways can the auditor select the schools for audit?

(A) 10
(B) 20
(C) 40
(D) 80
(E) 160

For this question - `What is the value of xy?`
Why is the answer "C"? I think it should be D, can be found from each statement alone.

You need a precise value for DS questions.

For example, in statement 2 you can reduce it to (x-1)(y-2)=0, which you can then expand to a polynomial equation with two variables, which has more than 1 solution, so 2 is not sufficient.

Unlike"real" maths, the GMAT does not accept a range of values but it requires a specific answer

Understood. Statement 2 is insufficient because it gives the answer set to be x = 0 or y = 0

Statement 1 however, when broken into factors gives us 75 = 3^1 * 5^2, comparing gives you x=1 AND v = 2

So why are we not going with option A?

DIRECTIONS for questions 1 to 5 Answer these questions on the basis of the information given below

Fresta is a grocery store that has exactly six employees - Busk, Dusk Fusk, Gusk Husk and Lusk The monthly salaries of the six employees are $347 5476, 5538, 5627, 3836, and 5968, not necessarily in the same order. In addition to the monthly stary, the employees may and be paid a bomas, which can be paid at any time during the year. The monthly income of any employee for a month is defined as the sum of the monthly salary of that employee for that month and any bonus that may have been received in that month Further the annual income of any employee is defined as the sum of the munthly incomes paid to the employee during the twelve months of the year ie, from January to December

In September of a particular year, Elmond Risk, the owner of Fresia, decided that he would give a bonus to each of the six employees such that the annual income of each employee would become an integral multiple at $1000. Elmond Rusk paid the bonus to all the six employees in the month of September sett, ensuring that each employee was paid the last possible bonus No other bonus was paid to any employee during the year

It is also known that

the bonus paid to Dusk was the same as the monthly salary of Busk the bonus paid to Glusk was the same as the monthly salary of Fusk

I the difference between the monthly salary and the bonus was not the least for Lusk, w

monthly income in September of Busk was less than the monthly salary of either Husk or Gusk

Q1. DIRECTIONS for questo 5 Seled the coffect alterative from the given choices

What was the annual income of Gusk?

Anyone
