A) xy is an even integer
B)xy is a odd integer
C)xy is divisible by 5
D) x+y is an even integer
E) x+y is an odd integer

The given equality can be written as x/y = 5/4 or 4x = 5y. Since x and y are integers, y must be a multiple of 4.
It follows that xy is necessarily even.
