Hi u1983,
The process of taking (and reviewing) a CAT requires a significant amount of energy and effort - and takes time to 'recover' from. This is one of the reasons why you typically shouldn't take more than 1 CAT per week - and your last CAT should be taken about 1 week before Test Day. Given your timeframe, taking up to 3 CATs would be reasonable. The question about pacing is an entirely different subject though. Pacing problems - if you have them - do NOT exist on their own; they're the results of OTHER problems. A CAT is really a 'measuring device' - when used correctly, it will give you a realistic score and help define your strengths and weaknesses, but it will NOT help you to fix any of those weaknesses. To raise your scores, you have to learn the necessary Tactics and put in the proper practice and repetitions. The CAT will show you whether your studies are helping you to improve or not.
From your profile, you appear to have take the Official GMAT at least twice already. Were those attempts in the 'old' format or the current/shorter format? Did you have pacing issues when you took either of those two Official Tests?
GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,

Hi Rich.......... Thanks a bunch for your reply .............Those were old format....last year.
The first one ........ I thought I was too smart ..... just went in. ( The split in ESR : SC:5% CR:43%tile RC:22%tile IR:6 Q: 75%tile)
And that even was not an eye opener for me....... But, one good thing was that I got the comment :
Your performance on sentence correction question was equivalent to a score of 6,which is better than 0% of GMAT Exam scores............... rest I did not bothered to go over. I bit hurt.... So I went through the SC only for 3 weeks and went in .............( The split in ESR : SC:64% CR:70%tile RC:48%tile IR:6 Q: 63%tile).... somehow happy. But..... thought that it. With practice I can improve .... and will do it when I get some time.
In both the cases Verbal last part was a stretch due to time
apparently.
I started again from July..... looked back......... I tried to find out the reasons.......... the basic knowledge issue was there .....for sure....... And READING & COMPREHENDING SPEED (combined) did contributed their fair share. Hence tried to work on them till now.
