" Looking at warning, it is evident that smoking cigarette is dangerous. "

Is this sentence correct ? What is this "it" referring to ? Isn't this a case when a pronoun doesn't has a antecedent ?

I found another statement in MGMAT with a pronoun without a antecedent.

WE finally chose the coffee table towards the back of the store, because we thought that this table would complement our living room.

we read sentences like this all the time, having just a pronoun. -- like " we all ran to the gate on hearing the horn. "

So. when the rule says that every pronoun must have an antecedent for it what does that mean.

What Am I missing here ?

pronoun ambiguity is not an absolute rule !! .
