Set 2/3 and 2/5 equal to 10/15 and 6/15

1. He handed out (10/15)(x-2) + (6/15)(x) multiply through by 15
10x-20 + 6x = 16x-20 candy bars

We have nothing to set it equal to though, so we can't find x. Insufficient

2. (10/15)(x) = (6/15)(y) cannot be solved because it's two variables in one equation

Now taken together

(10/15)(x-2) = (6/15)(x)
10x-20 = 6x
4x = 20
x = 5

He bought 5 packages of toffee bars (so 10 bars total) and 3 packages of chocolate bars (6 bars total).

(2/3)(6) = 4
(2/5)(10) = 4
