hi,
wondering what strategy has worked for people in RC passages. Do we need to read the whole passage the first time [discouraged by lot of prep guides] or read the 1st paragraph and the topic sentences of the rest of the paragraphs?

any help would be appreciated

thx

Well what i do is read the whole text. After reading each paragraph i try to get a picture of what was that paragraph about (it lasts for less than 1s so its rather a subconscious thought rather than deliberate)

The best way to learn RC is simply taking preparation tests... After some 25-30 text you will feel how to read a GMAT text. You have to get a feel for it....

Not sure about your proposed strategy of reading only the topic sentences... but i can't think why you should do that, cause you got plenty of time for reading the whole text.....
