Hi pals,
I have never seen anybody posting anything for RCs here, probably due to RCs's subjectivity. But i have hampered largely due to Global RC Questions while encountering real gmat RCs.
Global questions mainly includes:
- The primary purpose of the passage is....
- The tone of the passage is.....
- The author's primary objective in the passage is...
- The main topic of the passage is..... (most easiest among all, i think)

Well, these are the few of such kind.
Buddies, Lets discuss the strategy to solve such kind of questions.

a few pointers:

The primary purpose of the passage is....
Usually, by reading the introduction, spotting cue words (however, in fact, moreover, etc) and read the first and last lines of each other paragraph will help you with the purpose of the passage.

The tone of the passage is.....
Again, cue words will give you an idea of the tone of the passage. Usually, extreme choices should be discounted (ie outrage, euphoria, scorn)

The author's primary objective in the passage is...
This is similar to the primary purpose of the passage

The main topic of the passage is.....
Self explanatory
