RC is my weakness. But there are few useful guiding materials. I often understand the entire passage (by reading normally - not so fast as someone suggests) but still choose wrong choices because they are quite similar.

Some types of questions:

The passage is primarily concerned with...
.explaining... (giving one point then describing)
.emphasizing ... (focusing on point)
.suggesting ... (giving a solution)
.arguing ... (arguing situation)

According to the passage... ( I always look for information directly mentioned in the passage)

Which of the following best describes the function of the third paragraph of the passage? (find the relationship)

Passage primarily concerns with questions : do not choose options which are extreme, general,if you are stumped then start eliminating, wrong answer is out of scope or may refer heavily to one passage alone.Avoid such answer options.

According to passage :These are usually reframed from something in the passage

Function of a given passage question:start eliminating, wrong chocies are out of scope, may refer to a different passage,or involve partially whats mentioned in the indicated passage.

Passage primarily concerns with questions : KNOW all the DO verbs and strat comparison with your primary idea on passage. Most of the time you will be left with 2-3 combintion and start POE to get the correct one. So probability of your accuracy is 50%.
According to passage :OG says EXPLICITELY stated in the passage. So that should be your weapon to find out what explicitely stated in passage.
Function of a given passage question: Function of passage stated that what passage or author DOES (remember your answer should start with atleast some action)??? Take a overall idea and nail down.

Hope, they will help.
