I am in my late 20s juggling between a busy work life, with personal life(gf, my family) and along with my intense dream of pursuing mba from one of the top-10 biz schools. I have been holding onto my dream (with repeated failures to get 700+ gmat score) from past 4 years. I am still thinking whether I am holding too long or is this normal if you want to realise your dream. I did led many family responsibilities in past 4-5 years (with my dream clutched close to my heart) so it sometimes makes me angry towards my family but thats simply momentary. Anyway, I have decided to give another try but not sure from when to start, how to start and whether or not should I start in the first place (pre-mba dilemma of giving up 2 years of work life for full-time mba)......Is there anyone out there in the same boat or I am the only loner here...or should i say loser....

Never say loser. There is more than one way to skin a chicken. Have you thought about part-time or exec MBA programs at your target schools? You would earn the degree from the school you want to attend just the same and not have to compromise on your family life. Moreover, you would not need to have a perfect GMAT, as many full-time programs require.
