Reapplying HEC MIM for the same term?  [#permalink]

Hi everyone,
I just got rejected by HEC and I was thinking about reapplying for HEC MIM in round 4, with an update in my GMAT score. Has anyone ever been in the same situation? I know that HEC allows you to reapply for the same term, even though they don't encourage it. Will they look at the old application again or only consider the new application? As I have to make a whole new application again, should I ask my professor to send the same rec let (since I'm out of school and will have no academic updates) or should I have new rec let from my company manager now?
I passed the first round but was rejected in the second round. and my GMAT is 650 at the time I applied.
Please advise me on this situation.
Thank you guys so much!

If you applied before and were selected to interview, you would now need to show what is the incremental value you have added to your application since the rejection. GMAT would count as one of the factors, but you would need to show more than just that - lets say stellar personal or professional engagements, receiving some award, clearing some certification like CFA etc. Sole GMAT increase from 650 to ??? would not cut it.

You are a better judge of the value add you have gained, and therefore reapplying would be your call. Should you need help with applications, feel free to reach out.

Hey thank you guys for your help! gautamsharma since I'm reapplying for the same term (around 1 month in-between) so I only have a major work upgrade and hopefully a better GMAT. I'm about to retake it soon.
Have anyone know anything about the whole application? Should I have my professor send the same recommendation letter for the last round (I'm out of school for a while) or should I have 2 recommendations from employers (new material)?
thanks in advance!

Just wait for your new GMAT score and then access the situation.
In addition, the best place to seek for advice is from HEC's development managers. You can get easily get in contact with them.
