Recommendation on Low AWA

Good afternoon,
I'd like to thank you in advance for your help and your valuable time.
I'm a Guatemalan (Spanish is my first language) who just recently took the GMAT and although I scored fairly high on the Quant (43,64%) and Verbal (39,87%) for a total of 670 (84%), I had a bad experience with the AWA. In the first essay, I feel I did a pretty decent job and was very confident in my score. Unfortunately, in the second essay (Analysis of an Argument), I had a slight problem. When I finished the essay, and read in before going to next section, I wasn't as confident. I decided then to write it all over again but obviously ran out of time.
I graded at 3.5 in the AWA (10%). Although I don't feel this adequately represents my writing skills, I understand that graduate schools will probably be somewhat scared off by the low score.
Is there any way that the admission's office reevaluates my writing skills? Or should I re-take the GMAT in order to prove my ability? I really feel my writing skills are better that that, and hope there's a way to prove it without needing to take the GMAT again.
Thanks again for all your help.
Kind regards,
