Hi All,

My immediate supervisors boss is writing my recommendation. How would I describe his relation to me? I work in financial services and he is the Regional Director for the sector I work in/ Head of the sector/team leader etc.

I find it awkward to say boss's boss or supervisor's boss so I would appreciate the feedback.

Thank you

I had the same issue, but i just used 'supervisor'. After all, he is a supervisor in hierarchy..

Hi Albs,

I would probably try to keep it simple - perhaps on the lines of "a management level above my direct supervisor/line manager or "the manager of my direct supervisor". Just an idea if you're trying to accurately describe his position. Otherwise in brief terms I agree that he would qualify under the general "supervisor" banner.
