Hello altruists,

Can anyone tell me what should be the recommended GMAT score for getting good funding/scholarship in tippie(university if iowa) in MS in Business Analytics course? My undergraduate cgpa is just 3 out of 4 according to usa system and around 2 years of work experience.

Hello Hea234ven

MS in Business Analytics is great choice.

As you can see they dont have minimum/target GMAT score for admission :

https://tippie.uiowa.edu/future-graduat ... admissions

https://tippie.uiowa.edu/future-graduat ... on-process

I can see that all applicants to the full-time Master of Business Analytics program are automatically considered for program scholarships:

https://tippie.uiowa.edu/future-graduat ... n-and-fees

In your place I would contact Sidney Hoyle as Recruiting and Admissions Specialist or Jennifer Carter as Director, Admissions & Recruiting at :

tippie-analytics@uiowa.edu or via phone 319-335-1094

https://tippie.uiowa.edu/future-graduat ... contact-us

They will best source to answer your question regarding target GMAT score for funding. ;)

My bet is that should be something above 700, depending how competitive program actually is, but it can been even lower depending on their past data and strength of applicants pool per year.

Since they do not disclose those data, you will need to contact them, and that is usually sign, that admission standards are not that high, which is again good news for you.

Good Luck

I was in contact with the admission director and the professor who supervise the program. Pls feel free to PM me.

Many lower-ranked programs will offer a meaningful scholarship to applicants with a GMAT Score higher than 700 as they know applicants have choice with a higher score. While being a lower scoring applicant, your choices are more limited and the AdCom has less of an argument as to why You vs. Joe over there who should get the funding. GMAT makes it an easy measurable way. Getting higher GMAT helps these programs in a few ways, so the higher the GMAT Score, the better for the program and the more likely a scholarship.
