I understand that the GMAT fee comprises the expenses of reporting my sore to 5 programmes/schools.
Can I take the test and choose those schools after I have known my score or do I have to decide about them beforehand and indicate those before I take the test and come to know about the score?
I was confused(!) that one had to choose the programmes/schools before appearing for the test.

Yup, you need to select the schools before you give the test. If you do not choose any school before the test, you have to pay $28 for each score report that you send after the test. Not so different from the Russian roulette, heh? I did not select any school when I took the test... a precaution that proved to be unnecessary and cost me over$150 in additional score reports afterwards

You know, I was so ecstatic with my score, that those money did not feel like a major loss But I agree, some research can sometimes save a buck or two.

Do you have to go into the test center with the school codes?

Freestyla,

You dont have to go to the test center with the codes.

Before you begin the test, you can choose the schools on the system.

You don't need the codes to do that.you can search for your school on theiir online system.

Yep, it definitely helps to have the schools ready. Of the 5 I chose, I'm applying to just one school.

Also, when you pay your $200 app fee, adding another$28 for the score report is not too pleasant.

gmac is such a racket. $28 dollars for something that costs them 10 cents. ugh. i didnt put any schools down, i didnt want to stress out about that before i even took the exam. i dont regret it either, ive changed my planned list of schools anyway.
