I think you have a shot at many of these schools, the key to which will be standing out in a very crowded applicant pool. Your age may be a factor with Harvard and Stanford, who notoriously favor younger candidates. I was over 30 when I got accepted to a top 5 school, but did not even bother applying to HBS or Stanford, since I didn't feel I fit their profile. Another thing is, that HBS and Stanford are very different schools in approach and culture, so I am surprised to see you wanting to apply to both--usually it's one or the other and each school would question your fit if you think you fit at the other. One thing you don't want to do is to simply choose your target schools based soley on their reputation. Fitting with the culture and learning style is critical to getting through the admissions door. As for your credentials, I think antoher thing that will help you stnad out is your broad international experience across many cultures and countries. This is something the typical Indian applicant does not have--leverage it into some interesting stories that demonstrate leadership, creativity and teamwork, and you will be on your way to a winning application. Let us know if we can help you pull things together.
