Result correlation between GMAT and GMAT Club's Tests

Would have loved to know what Raw Score these Q49-50 Calibre guys used to get/getting in these GMAT Club tests?

Is it like 31-33 Correct (Qs) out of Maxm 37?

I got Q48 easily in GMAT(last Aug) but my scores here in Q01-Q03 are like 12-15 Mistakes(25/37)
Tests are excellent no doubt about that
They will surely teach you many tricks and also let you perform in timed condition

I need to score atleast 31/37 to aspire for Q50

I just took the m04 and got 27/37..so its improving

You can compare your results with other people's posted in this long thread. However, only 1 test won't tell you much. Don't get discouraged! GMAT Club Tests have been taken by math gurus for a couple of years now, so these percentile scores only tell you where you stand compared to the population we have here at GMAT Club. There's still some place for practice, but you can do it!

Correlations might be helpful, but something to note is that for someone who is wll-prepared and strong in both sections will do better in any tests. For example, he/she might do well in GMAT Club, MGMAT, GMATPrep etc etc hitting >90% across all, at the same time receiving 750+. However, this will not necessary prove the tests correlate positively to actual GMAT. Nontheless, one thing is for sure, someone with strong fundamentals who has an adept test-taking ability (or has developed one), will do very well across all the exams and ultimately in GMAT. I, by no means have reached at that level, but would definitely like to reach somewhere close.

So far I’ve only taken the 1st two gmatclub tests. I found them much more challenging than any other GMAT prep tests I’ve taken so far. My plan is to keep learning from my mistakes in each test. Hopefully my scores will have improved a lot by the time I reach the second half of the test set.
The fact that each test covers the breath of the quant syllabus is a real advantage. It means you are not neglecting any particular area. It also makes it a lot easier see what areas you are weakest in.

One option would be to compare your scores with the ones submitted by those who already took the real GMAT. You can find those scores in this thread (see the previous pages).
Another option would be to use the GMAT Club Score Estimator (if you took GMAT Prep, Kaplan or MGMAT preparation tests). Here's a link:

Be very careful of Kaplan. I have seen many times that Kaplan CAT's are harder than the real thing and that one might expect 50-100 points more on the real test. This was not true in my case. I scored as follows on my last 4 Kaplan CAT's

Studied hard, today I took the real thing and scored 560, needless to say I'm incredibly disappointed.

I think every other person here must get at least 47 scale score on real exam

you are right about the challenges being trickier. Further, scoring in the 90 percentile may be a sufficient condition to achieve 49+ in Q in actual GMAT; I am not sure if it is a necessary condition, though.
I took some gmat club math tests; and was a little bit depressed by the percentile. These tests are really useful as they will make one sweat and reviewing even the correct answers provides sometimes interesting insights into a quicker way of attacking the problem. Now, the moderators might really consider asking the test taker if s\he wants to see the percentile as some might find it depressing to look at the percentile. These percentile reflect only a small population (of gmat club members who take the test) and not the gmat test takers at large.
It is a good project to try to correlate the gmat club math scores with the gmat Q scaled score.

I totally agree with you. The tests are good ressources but the percentile does not have a real signification.

First of all, we can take the tests several times and then indirectly manipulate the percentile.

Second, if you compare the percentile of a guy who take the test some months ago and the percentile of the same guy who take the test today (with the same number of correct answers), we can consider a difference of 10 or 20%.

In fact it is just a result so it does not matter but the thing is, as you said, the percentile can have an impact on our moral.

So, GMAT Club Tests are obviously very useful but I am not certain that the percentile play an important role in that. Moreover, it will be hard to correlate the result with GMAT prep Q score, just because GMAT Club tests are not CAT. Consequently, IMO, the best thing to do is just to erase the percentile.
