Hi GK,

The error log is an excellent idea. Pinpoint your key weaknesses. It is particularly important for SC. If you mark the problems that you get incorrect and then revisit them in 2-3 weeks and if you STILL get it wrong, then you will need to read up on that concept more thoroughly.

3 weeks before I took my GMAT I noted that I was making way too many mistakes on SC on CAT simulations. This was strange because I was solving 80% of SCs on the OG correctly. I then realized that my weakness was not SC itself, but looking at SC on the screen and rushing to an answer, rather than taking a little team and eliminating each option. It seems that I was (and probably still am) more comfortable with reading from a paper book than reading the same thing on the screen.

I used this software called GMatter to train myself to solve SC by looking at the choices on the screen.

You can find more details about my approach on my (rather longwinded) post at :

Thanks BSD,
Congrats on your 720 - great score. I read you post the day you posted and found it quite encouraging.

I tend to comprehend material a lot better on paper as well; I need to re-read it once or twice on a comp. screen before I can fully grasp it. I tried downloading gmatter from the website a couple of times but for some reason it doesn't work - my computer cannot find a prog. to open the downloaded file with.

I've started an error log and will soon be starting the GMAT Challenges as well. Hopefully, my efforts this time will give way to a better result :)
